Michael is an accomplished leader with a strong portfolio of successes in diverse businesses. He currently owns and manages Michael & Gabriel, Inc. He’s also the founder and editor of Sports Feel Good Stories.com and Greeting Card Poet.com. His Sports Feel Good Stories articles have been featured in ThePostGame and one article was selected for Yahoo.com’s homepage.
As President of Magnetic Poetry, he led the company to its highest sales years in its history. He was responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company, sales, marketing and operations. He spearheaded the company’s expansion into the toy, scrapbook, and gardening markets. He personally invented and took to market over 50 new products including the Backpack line, which has sold over 750,000 units. As a result of these efforts, the company secured vendor relationships for the first time with Michael’s, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club and QVC.
Prior to that, O’Halloran was Director of Marketing for The Learning Company (where Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary made his millions), and led channel marketing activities including promotion, advertising, packaging and marketing partnerships. Marketing brands like The Oregon Trail, Reader Rabbit and The American Girls; O’Halloran helped move The Learning Company to the #1 market share position in educational software before the company was sold to Mattel.
As Vice President of McCracken Brooks Communications, his clients included Shopko Stores, MECC and The Seven-Up Company. During his tenure, McCracken Brooks was the most awarded promotion agency in the country.
He is an MBA graduate of the University of Minnesota and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of St. Thomas.
